Beauty with a Purpose

This month we are partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation in order to help restore the Klamath National Forest. Arbor Day Foundation is the largest nonprofit organization that is dedicated to planting trees. With more than one million members the foundation has been able to plant more than 350 million trees.

“Our vision is to help others understand and use trees as a solution to many of the global issues we face today, including air quality, water quality, a changing climate, deforestation, poverty, and hunger.” -Arbor Day Foundation

The Klamath National Forest offers a wide array of natural diversity and 200 miles of river system. This forest stretches along the borders of California and Oregon. The devastating wildfires that ran along the west coast in 2017 and 202 have left the forest in a critical state.

These wildfires had devastating repercussions for the wildlife habitat, left minimal seed sources,  and has left the land watershed. Douglas Fir, ponderosa pine, sugar pine, incense cedar, white fir, brewer spruce, and Port Orford cedar are among the types of trees being planted to help restore the land and support the affected wildlife.

For the entirety of December 100% of the profits from our Hydrating Liquid Lip Crèmes will go towards the efforts to replant the 2,500 acres of affected land. As a clean beauty brand we understand the responsibilities as a company to reduce our carbon footprint. For us, clean beauty is not a trend, it is a way of life, one that we have practiced for more than 24 years. Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics is dedicated to doing our best to create an impactful change on the environment.
