Dear Youngblood Pro:

I have some news: the little black dress has been replaced. What's hot these days, from the New York runways to the streets of Beverly Hills and everywhere in between is the little red dress. It exemplifies what may be the newest - and perhaps best - accessory to every woman's beauty. I'm talking about confidence.

When you have the confidence to wear red, you're making a statement. You're announcing yourself every time you walk into a room. There's no arguing with red; there is only accessorizing with deep red, rich red, bold red, (young)blood red. You become a true Vixen.

But don't just take my word for it. The recent fashion shows in New York were painting the town in all shapes and shades of red. The omnipresent Marc Jacobs and his models strutted their stuff with brilliance, boldly showing off daring colors, textures and cuts.  Check out his amazing red cut-out shoes, or his red-sashed baby-doll dress.  And he wasn't the only. Luella marched down the runway in a wool-blend blazer, trimmed in - you guessed it - red. Eugenia Kim Sonia's rabbit cloche hat, in red, was also a perfect accessory.

Red shouts confidence. And the woman who wears it is also wearing her confidence in a bold, sassy and sexy way. She's making a statement. For further proof, all she needs to do is check out our Fall Statement Shades.

From the Truly Red lip liner pencil [one of our biggest sellers, an instant hit] for creamy, longwearing definition to the intense red matte of Vixen lipstick, these reds are ready for prime time. They're absolutely perfect for a bold trend that includes bold lips.  Other confidence-shouting Youngblood shades that veer from reds include Bistro, Kranberry and Mystere.

The Fall collection also contains rich colors for eyes and a soft nude blush. Perfect for the Youngblood woman who commands attention without demanding it.

If you're ready to make a confident statement this Fall, get yourself the little red dress and those incredible Marc Jacobs shoes. Use Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics for incredible coverage and the perfect look, and become the show-stopper you've always been.

Sincerely,

A Vessel to Showcase Youngblood

This Fall, Youngblood was backstage for the debut of one of the most exciting collections on the New York runways: Lois Samuels' Vessel Collection. This fashion model turned author turned photographer and now fashion designer truly shocked the fashion savvy with masculine inspired pieces showing off a decidedly feminine edge.

According to The Gleaner, from Samuels' native Jamaica, the Vessel Collection is "wearable, simplistic, but also beautifully constructed." It's all clean lines and bold confidence. And as accompanied by Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, this collection is simply stunning.

The square neckline dress accentuates curves while the shirtdress moves seamlessly from a day at the office to a night on the town. And the pinafore front all-in-one was man enough for the more feminine woman. There was also a straight-line suit for business and for play, long shorts that are casually elegant.

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics were an instant hit, backstage and on the catwalk, perfectly complementing each beautiful vessel with subtle eyes, sexy lips and accented cheeks. The perfect accessory to a perfect collection.
Artist Talk

October is turning out to be an exciting month at Youngblood with a lot of amazing things happening. We are in the process of shooting our brand new training DVD, discussing "How To's" from foundation matching to bridal beauty to tattoo covering. We have already shot the first segment with Youngblood Senior Artist Philip Luque showing us how to properly match a foundation and a basic makeup application with tips on how to go from day to night with your look. [Bridal makeup and more advanced techniques will be covered by Senior artist Val Hernandez.]

Powder Power

The new Youngblood Hi-Definition Hydrating Mineral Perfecting Powder is the talk of the industry. Why? Its performance is nothing short of phenomenal. When using this silky powder be sure to apply it to the face after foundation and before your bronzer and blush. This prevents them from being softened up. The power in the powder comes from Licorice root extract to help soothe and calm skin while helping hydrate and control oil.

Also creating quite the buzz are Youngblood's Artist Palettes. The two refillable palettes can be used by any makeup artist looking for portability, style, and ease. The smaller palette can hold up to six pressed blushes, or six concealers all. The eye shadow palette can hold up to twenty four shades that you can again choose for yourself. They easily fit into any makeup artist kit and are incredibly lightweight.

Falling into Color
Eye shadow is definitely exciting this season with the release of Zen and Pink Diamond. Zen, an amazing, shimmery olive green, is a great addition to any look. It can be used either as a liner or a shadow smoked out in the corners of the eye; or on entire lid. Pink Diamond is exquisite as an all-over lid color to provide the pop that makes the eye really shine. Also try it as a subtle highlight around the eye area. The new blush in Bashful is a hot commodity with its nude, barely-there color. Add this amazing shade to the apples of the cheeks after bronzer to make those cheeks stand out.

As Pauline says above, these are perfect complements to any fall face with a lighter look next to bold lips.

Just a little artist talk for you!
