Dear Youngblood Pro:

No other season brings color back better than spring. Think pretty pastels, barely there pinks, flirty lavender, and peachy blushes. When you're ready to dive into this season's romantic palette, reach out for some of Youngblood's perennial must-haves like Coral Beach Lipstick (a personal favorite), Glorious Lip Gloss, and Sundance Mineral Radiance to give you that natural, sun-kissed glow.

It's been a whirlwind show season as well, with Youngblood making a huge splash at the debut of The Makeup Show in Los Angeles. There was nonstop action at the Youngblood booth, where hundreds of pro makeup artists, cosmetic aficionados, and beauty bloggers sampled (and loved!) our products. The high energy and the crowd's warm, positive response to Youngblood was such an inspiration to all of us. We can't wait to see you all at next year's show.

Sincerely,

Celebrity Makeup Artist: Philip Luque
Highlights from The Makeup Show LA

Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics was the talk of The Makeup Show LA, held March 15 and 16 at the California Market Center in Los Angeles. We had the industry buzzing with our spring products and our continued presence at major makeup shows this season. (Look for us at The Makeup Show New York on May 17th and 18th).

Our team of artists gave the LA industry a taste of what we can do in print, film, and television. Our own celebrity makeup artists, Valerie Hernandez and Christalee, gave an informative class on the benefits of using Youngblood on shoots and on your clients.

Our Minerals in the Mist are already bestsellers! They were a hit at the Makeup Show LA and at the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa show in Dallas. Available in three delicious blends - Refresh, Recharge, and Restore - these mists will awaken your senses and rejuvenate the skin. You can spray them on before moisturizing or after or after you apply our famous Loose Mineral Foundation. Trust me, these mists are addicting!

We're also pleased with the overwhelming success of our Mineral Primer and the new lipstick, gloss, and eyeliner. We practically sold out all four items at both shows. The silky, lightweight Primer is loaded with minerals and vitamins, so it can energize cells, stimulate collagen production, and repair skin. You can wear it under any of Youngblood's foundations and even alone. The new Pink Lust Lipstick is on its way to becoming a Youngblood fave. And talk about versatility, anyone can wear this lipstick and it goes with any Youngblood lip liner. Promiscuous with its sheer strawberry/watermelon color will add a subtle brightness to your lips.

SMOKEY EYES
Smokey eyes are still in for spring, so take Passion eyeliner and gently apply to the lash line working your way up the lid. Next, blend the liner out using your Youngblood concealer brush. Then, take a shadow like Prism, Bordeaux, or Concord and gently press it into the eyeliner until its completely covered. Now blend the edges with your crease brush and add a softer color like Willow to the crease area. Finish under the brow with colors like Alabaster, Halo, or Doe. Add your Pink Lust with a touch of Promiscuous and your spring look is done!

CONCEALER TIP
Be sure to check out our newest concealer shades - Medium Tan with a pink undertone and Deep with a yellow undertone- which are welcome additions for darker-skinned Youngblood addicts. A quick tip: When using concealer to hide dark circles look at the undertone of the circle first. Think of color theory and your days in art class when attacking this issue. Orange cancels out blue, yellow cancels out purple, and green/neutral tones cancel out red. This should help you tackle tough discoloration.
