Youngblood in the News

Simi Valley, California - Youngblood Mineral
Cosmetic's Founder/President, Pauline Youngblood, was recently highlighted in a recent "six degrees" article titled "Mineral Makeover." Youngblood was quoted as saying that "good makeup is just as important as what's not in your makeup, than what is. Traditional makeup and skin care products have a lot of additives and irritants. Youngblood doesn't have these." You can read more about what Youngblood had to say about mineral makeup in the January issue.

Sneak Peek Spring 2009

The beauty and style icons are buzzing about all the new additions to Youngblood's line of luxe quality cosmetics for Spring '09. Our trip to New York last October was a huge success. Minerals In The Mist

Minerals in the Mist are definitely one of Youngblood's most exciting launches to date. These Mineral Mists lock in vital minerals and vitamins leaving your complexion with a natural, dewy finish. Simply mist on skin before moisturizing, after makeup, or any time for a refreshing pick-me-up. There are three signature scents: Refresh, a delicious blend of pure tangerine and grapefruit essential oils; Restore, a replenishing blend of pure grapefruit, lime and rosemary essential oils; and Recharge, an energizing blend of mint, ginger and lime essential oils. All three are infused with the mineral nutrients Hematite, Malakite, Rhodolite, and Zincite to provide natural protection for skin cells, rejuvenate skin tissue and act as pure cell energizers.

Mineral Primer

Youngblood's Mineral Primer is another exciting product you'll quickly be adding to your 'must haves' for Spring.  This non-greasy, silk-to-powder formula is rich in vitamins E and A and has been specifically formulated with minerals to naturally energize and protect cells, stimulate collagen growth, aid in the repair of stressed skin, and eliminates the appearance of fine lines and pores for a smooth finish.  Just use it prior to makeup, and apply to the face.

Announcing Two New Shades of Ultimate Concealer!

Youngblood has answered the call and developed two new shades for those with darker skin tones. Medium Tan has a pink undertone and is a bit darker then our regular Tan. Our Deep shade offers a nice yellow-based darker tone. Both offer all the same benefits as our other shades including vitamins C and E, and Allantoin/Jojoba Esters.

Spring Color 2009 Style

Youngblood is on top of all the color trends for Spring 2009. Let's begin with our new Lipstick provocatively named Pink Lust. A pale shimmery pink, it's gorgeous alone, for a flirty look, or mix with any of our Lip Pencils to create your own unique flair. The artists at Youngblood have truly pulled out all the stops with the versatility of this Lipstick and it genuinely looks beautiful on everyone.

Next up is our newest Lip Gloss, Promiscuous. Don't be fooled by its bright strawberry/watermelon appearance. This Lip Gloss gives you a sheer wash of color that will definitely brighten your pout.

Want to add some pop to your eyes this spring? Then you must try the newest addition to our Eye Liner Pencils, Passion. This beautiful plum shade of Eye Liner Pencil will give your eyes the color and vibrancy that is the very definition of spring!

Linda Asks:

"If I apply Youngblood's Loose Mineral Foundation on while my face is still moist, it blots up my face. How can I correct this without washing my face and having to start over?"

Dear Linda,
When you say "loose powder" do you mean the Mineral Rice Setting Powder or the Loose Mineral Foundation? If it's the Mineral Rice, I would just use a little bit on your Super Powder Brush, tap off the excess, then continue with a press and roll into the t-zone. If it's the Loose Mineral Foundation, then you need to use the Mineral Rice first. Using the technique just mentioned (press and role), do the entire face instead of just the t-zone to give yourself a nice smooth matte finish on which to apply your foundation.
