Pauline Youngblood is Founder and President of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics.

Born with an innate passion to help people, Pauline spent much of her youth in service to others. Whether volunteering as a camp counselor, teaching swimming, or helping neighborhood kids with their studies, she has always been driven by compassion and empathy.

Pauline's fascination with beauty products also began at an early age. "My mother was always beautifully put together, and I loved playing with her makeup." Then, as many teens do, Youngblood developed a severe and painful case of cystic acne.

"Doctors told me not to wear makeup, because the skin needed to breathe and heal," Youngblood states, "but try telling that to a teenage girl who's already sensitive to appearance issues. And of course they were right - makeup absolutely made my acne worse."

As an adult, Pauline's passion for helping people, her compassion for the suffering, and sensitivity to those with appearance issues, led her to work in the Beverly Hills offices of dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons as a licensed Medical Aesthetician. Here, she was in daily contact with people with severely traumatized skin, from harsh laser treatments, acne, rosacea, and cosmetic surgeries. Such patients often take up to six months before the skin returns to normal, and Pauline was simply not satisfied with the cosmetic options available. She began working with chemists to develop a suitable option - a cosmetic that would cover raw, inflamed, or discolored skin, but allow it to breathe and heal. This led to her initial work with natural mineral cosmetics.

With the help of doctors and chemists, she began formulating her first loose mineral foundation, which provided excellent coverage and a natural appearance, while still allowing skin to breathe. Youngblood's patients experienced such dramatic success with her new formula that they continued using it long after their skin had healed. Before long, patients and friends convinced her to make this natural mineral foundation commercially available, and Pauline founded Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics in 1996.

As Pauline's compassion led her to develop her first products in a medical setting, her company continues with her original values - passion for providing the healthiest, highest quality products, empowering women to look and feel their best.
